MADE TO ORDER - Small Black & White Lichen Tile

Porcelain, stain, high temperature wire, steel wire hanger

approx 4 inch / 10.5cm diameter

Inspired by the microscopic photographs I took of Golden Eye lichens at the University of Manitoba’s Herbarium workshop in 2023, I have continued my exploration of movement and growth in this sculptural series. Each lichen is individually sculpted and attached to the tile one at a time, often layered on top of each other. For added height some have been attached with high temperature wire. This wall tile has a built in mechanism with steel wire attachment for hanging, so it is ready to hang in your home.

Listing includes one black and white tile only.
