Inspired by the tenacious plant life I see in my urban neighbourhood, I wanted to celebrate common weeds which are often loathed or unappreciated. I started this series after receiving funding from the Winnipeg Arts Council which allowed me to learn how to silkscreen my own underglaze decals. Images were designed from my photographs, silk screened onto rice paper then transferred to the clay surface. Glazed in clear - both inside and exterior.
