Grog Pop Vase

Bold and bright, this new vase is certainly a statement piece. It is an expansion to my Grog Pop line and is certainly a fun departure from my other styles. I first create the coloured grog by bisque firing casting clay and then crushing it up. I have pressed these chunks into my clay body, which is then layered with additional coloured casting clay in my plaster molds. The texture has been inlayed with a deep teal stain matching the bottom of the mug, complimenting the coral handle and grog pieces.
